Unlock the Power of Family Connection and Personal Growth

The Quality Time Family course is not simply a schedule of fun—it’s a carefully designed space for families to reconnect, communicate with intention, and grow side by side.

The Quality Time Family Course invites both children and adults into an engaging series of hands-on experiences that promote joy, resilience, and emotional insight.

In an age where attention is scattered and learning often feels mechanical, this course brings warmth, clarity, and presence back into the family experience.

Over the span of ten sessions, families participate in a range of creative and meaningful activities—tie-dyeing, clay sculpting, photography challenges, phonetics games, gratitude discussion circles, and more.

These are more than just projects; they’re moments of discovery where language becomes playful, expression becomes natural, and shared memories are formed. Whether you’re exploring boundaries in a safe environment or painting watercolor dreams after a story, the process invites connection that’s both honest and joyful.

The sessions are guided by Experienced educators, supported by an enthusiastic community of parent volunteers, and hosted in beautiful locations like Clifford Village Lake and Clifford Estates. Each session is prepared with care—balancing structure and spontaneity—so that families can fully engage without stress. Children are free to explore, and adults are encouraged to participate as equals, creating a rare balance where all voices are heard and valued.

At its heart, this course is about presence: being available to each other in ways that are too often overlooked. It promotes trust, communication, shared purpose, and confidence—in both language and life. For Chinese families especially, it offers a rare and motivating environment to practice English not as a school subject, but as a living, breathing part of their story. Join us to experience learning that feels alive, expressive, and unforgettable—for the whole family.

Course Outline

Course Outline: Quality Time Family Course

The Quality Time Family Course offers ten hands-on, inspiring sessions designed to support family connection, English language development, emotional intelligence, and creative expression. Each class offers a different theme—from scavenger hunts and role-playing to clay sculpture and mindfulness circles—providing families with a space to connect meaningfully while having fun. Designed with both local and ESL families in mind, the course encourages real-life communication in English and promotes confidence through active participation rather than passive instruction.

The curriculum blends language, creativity, and personal growth. Children and adults engage in shared activities like making marbled art, practicing tongue twisters, designing a family mood board, or performing in improvisational games. These experiences not only build language skills and expressive confidence, but also help participants practice listening, collaboration, and emotional communication—skills often overlooked in traditional education.

Every session is thoughtfully planned to create memorable, real-world learning moments. Whether painting a watercolor story, reflecting in a gratitude circle, or co-creating clay sculptures, families explore and express in ways that are tactile, playful, and meaningful. There’s room for laughter, questions, imagination, and even quiet reflection. While the tone is lighthearted, the developmental value is deep: participants walk away with tools for communication, creativity, and shared problem-solving.

More than just a series of classes, this course promotes the value of spending meaningful time together. It encourages children and parents alike to take off their “roles” and become fellow explorers—learning, playing, and growing side by side. Through this shared experience, families strengthen their bond and build a foundation for ongoing communication, mutual respect, and emotional intelligence. It’s a rare space where both English learning and family life become joyful, natural, and deeply connected.

Overview of Class 1 to 10 and Spare Class

Class 1 – Photography Scavenger Hunt: Discovering the World Through a Lens
Families begin their adventure outdoors, exploring the natural world through playful photography challenges. This session encourages curiosity, teamwork, and awareness, as children and parents capture themed photos and engage in simple sports and nature-based games. The day finishes with creative reflection—sharing stories behind the images and crafting art from leaves and natural materials collected on the way.

Class 2 – Happy Spaces: Learning Personal and Emotional Boundaries
This class introduces children and adults to the idea of boundaries—not as restrictions, but as tools for respect, safety, and healthy communication. Through open discussions, real-life examples, and group activities, families explore how to express needs clearly, listen thoughtfully, and create shared agreements for living together in harmony.

Class 3 – Phonetics and Tongue Twisters: Mastering English Sounds Through Play
A high-energy session focused on English pronunciation, using tongue twisters, rhythm, and movement to improve clarity and confidence. Children and parents learn vowel and consonant patterns, play with stress and intonation, and laugh their way through common speech challenges. It’s language learning in its most engaging and memorable form.

Class 4 – Paper & Fabric Marbling: The Art of Flow and Color
Creativity takes center stage as families explore the calming, hands-on practice of marbling. Participants create swirling patterns on paper and fabric using simple tools and vivid colors. Along the way, they learn about artistic process, patience, and nonverbal expression—reminding everyone that beauty often arises from letting go of control and enjoying the moment.

Class 5 – Games, Gratitude & Mindfulness: The Power of Simple Presence
Families come together in a screen-free space to reconnect through calm awareness and meaningful dialogue. The session includes breathing exercises, a gratitude circle, and lighthearted games that build trust and communication. Designed to be gentle and grounding, this class offers a rare moment to slow down and truly hear each other.

Class 6 – Creating a Family Thought & Mood Board: Communication in Living Color
This powerful workshop blends creativity and emotional intelligence. Families design a personalized board filled with expressive categories—gratitude, help, mood, wishes, and ideas—to be used at home for ongoing communication. Participants build their board, write a family mission statement, and explore how shared values and playful structure can turn everyday moments into meaningful conversations.

Class 7 – Charades and Role-Play: Confidence Through Laughter and Imagination
This lively class blends drama, improvisation, and group play to promote confident speaking and expressive body language. Families act out characters, silly situations, and imagined worlds, all while practicing active listening and teamwork. It’s perfect for kids who need a boost in self-expression—and just as fun for parents who want to jump in.

Class 8 – Clay Pot Making and Sculpture: Hands-On Creation with Clay
With simple tools and open imagination, families shape clay into coiled pots, sculpted figures, and playful abstract forms. Along the way, participants learn foundational skills in texture, shape, and hand coordination. The session ends with a casual photo exhibit of their creations—a reminder of what shared effort and joy can produce.

Class 9 – Story & Watercolor: Telling Tales Through Brush and Ink
This class begins with a shared story, sparking imagination and setting a creative mood. Children and parents then explore watercolor painting, illustrating their own versions of the story or inventing new narratives through their art. It’s a class of quiet joy and deep connection—where storytelling and art become one shared language.

Class 10 – Tie-Dye Creations: Wearable Art and the Joy of Surprise
The final session brings color, movement, and excitement as families learn tie-dye techniques and make their own vivid shirts or scarves. With a mix of precision and spontaneity, participants fold, twist, and color fabric—learning about pattern, contrast, and patience. It’s a celebratory class that sends everyone home with a tangible reminder of the summer’s shared creativity.

Each class stands on its own, yet together they form a cohesive experience—a course where laughter meets learning, and expression becomes the bridge between family members.
